I believe in passion, integrity, honesty, diversity, equity, and hard work. I strive to use ultimate to empower girls and women to be the best selves possible. My personal goal is to be the most authentic version of myself which includes consistently being the same person on and off the field. I played professional ultimate with Indianapolis Red in 2018 & 2019 before joining the #ACLclub early in the 2019 Premier Ultimate League season. In 2019, I became the head coach of the Cincinnati YCC girls team(s) as well as the Cincinnati Ultimate Select Program Co-coordinator. For more on my knee recovery, politics, etc. find me @kgibbs18 on Instagram and Twitter.
I graduated from the University of Cincinnati (Spring 2017) with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, and now work at Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati in R&D in the Corporate Packaging Modeling & Simulation Discovery. I still love everything about P&G and could not be happier with my job. Also for those of you wondering why the title of this site is in quotes, it is from Stephen Chbosky's book The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Full quote: "So, this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I'm still trying to figure out how that could be." I picked this because life is a constant learning process and every part of it matters. |
